Don't panic!

Don't panic if you find that you have been hacked maybe your phone won't start or your computer is missing some files or programs, just check yourself first on haveibeenpwned then take the following steps after you find yourself hacked

    

    

     

         1. Change Your Passwords immediately

login into the accounts that are hacked and might under risk and immediately change your password of the accounts that might are under risk. You need to reset your passwords for any account where you have entered personal information, pictures or any kind of financial data.

2. Make Your Friends aware 

 If your account gets hacked then immediately tell your friends and family right away. Hacker may make malicious posts on social media services and can access your mail account pretending as you. If the hacker has done something then just make aware your friends know that those posts are not from you. 

3.  Use multi-Factor Authentication 

Compromising the 1 password may create a loss of your personal data to prevent from this use multi-factor authentication, which lets you secure your account not only with a user name and password but also with a device, usually your Smartphone. Multi-factor authentication can also include face-recognition, iris scanner, fingerprint scanner.

4.  Check Your Bank Statements records

If some attacker gets your credit or debit card information, then they will try to steal money from the account through transferring money into their account or will attempt to make purchases. The main reason cybercriminals hack Internet accounts is to make money. Immediately check your bank account records for a bank statement to check who is behind of attack.

5. Take Backup of your important data and reinstall your operating system.

When your system got hacked, it would be a great help to you while reinstalling your operating system first and wiping your hard drive clean. Make a Complete Backup of Your System Once everything is in pristine condition you should do a complete backup so that if this ever happens again you won't spend as much time reloading your system. Copy your photos, documents, media, and other personal files to DVD, CD, or another clean hard drive.

6. Turn off activities from Google dashboard

Google Dashboard lets users of the Internet view and manages personal data collected about them by Google Inc. With an account, Google Dashboard allows users to have a summary view of their Google+, Google location history, Google web history, Google Play apps, YouTube and more. Once logged in, it summarizes data for each product the user uses and provides direct links to all the products. Google Dashboard aims to give you more control over your personal data stored on Google's servers. Compromising your google account will create a huge loss of your privacy which includes locations web history, Gmail conversations, payment profile, drive data, and all your pictures. In that case, turn off your activities from google dashboard so that no one can steal your personal information. 

1      7. Scan Your infected drive/computer

If you find any abnormal activities in your system then firstly Scan Your Drive for Infection and Malware and Use the other host PC's anti-virus, anti-spyware, and anti-rootkit scanners to ensure detection and removal of any infection from the file system on your hard drive.

        8. Remove all Sensitive Data from the Hacked Account

If your account was hacked already in that case, remove all sensitive data from that account. And immediately delete all important files that contain personal information. Especially in the case if you store important data on services like Dropbox, Google Drive, and iCloud Drive. 

9. Reinstall/update your Security Softwares

Firstly load and patch all your security-related software and then load any other applications,. Make sure that your anti-virus software is up-to-date prior to loading any application and always scan your Data Backup Drives for Viruses and scan your data files prior to reintroducing them back into your system. 

10. Use a Password Manager

If you use a password manager, to generate a strong password you can create secure passwords for all your accounts without having to remember them. And you just need to recall is a single password that lets you access your password manager.
